Our History - From Lanes to Lane-Keeping Assistance

Bowling Lane

Our roots in the Crestwood community run deep and uniquely blend with our passion for automotive excellence. Our facility has a rich history, initially starting as a bustling bowling alley in the 1960s—a local hotspot where friends and families gathered to strike down pins and create lasting memories.

As times changed, so did the needs of our community. In 1980, recognizing a growing demand for automotive repair services, we transformed this beloved gathering place into a transmission repair shop. This marked the beginning of a new era for us—Certified Transmission and Auto Service was born. Embracing broader automotive challenges and opportunities, we later evolved into Certified Express Lube & Auto Service in the mid-2000s, reflecting our expansion into a full range of auto repair and maintenance services.

Over the past 40+ years, we've significantly expanded our services beyond just transmissions. Today, we offer everything from routine maintenance like oil changes and tire services to more complex repairs involving brakes, A/C systems, and much more. Our commitment to quality is demonstrated through our use of state-of-the-art equipment and tools, ensuring that we provide top-notch service to all makes and models.

Veteran-owned and operated, we bring discipline, precision, and a customer-first approach to everything we do. Our roots in the community are deepened through active participation in local activities, underscoring our role as a responsible and engaged business. At Certified Express Lube and Auto Service, we treat our customers like family, creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can feel confident that their vehicle is in capable hands.

We cherish our unique history—a quirky twist from bowling lanes to auto repair lanes—and we are proud to keep that spirit alive by continuing to serve and evolve with our Crestwood neighbors. Here's to many more decades of partnership, community service, and automotive care!
